THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WACHAGGA TRIBE AND WAROMBO TRIBE BOTH FOUND IN KILIMANJARO REGION
Seri is a tribe found in Kilimanjaro region. their official language is Kiseri which is Bantu origin. popularity Seri peoples found in northern of Kilimanjaro region especially in the areas from Kirongo,Tarakea and Holili mixed with Chaggas of Olele, Mashati and Mkuu in Rombo District. The Seri people are engaged in agriculture, breeding, business and office work. Seri  peoples keep animals like, cows, goats, sheep, donkey etc. During the past donkeys were used for transport. wood trailer towed with donkey were used to carry freight and people move from place to place, also donkeys were used without trailer for transport. That differs to Chagga people. Another difference between the Seri and the Chaggas is big especially in the language as well as traditions and customs, including their natural food and rituals. The traditional foods of the Rombos are Kitheri, umberere, mabande, ngolowo, Irombwe, Ng'ande and Mtori. However, Mtori is currently eaten by various people who are not Seri and it is cooked in hotels as food. Also Chaggas eat Mtori. In terms of traditions Seri people engaged in rituals only. But Chaggas engaged in religions,chaggas have mixed Christian denominations some Chaggas are Protestant and some are  catholic denominations.

 
Now you can see the difference also in traditional food.

Iromboe is a traditional food of waseri. Iromboe food cooked with corn and beans.

The name Rombo comes from traditions food of Seri which called Romboe.

SEE HOW TO COOK ROMBOE

Prepare corn , beans, cooking oil, salt , and a stove, you can use a gas stove, a charcoal stove, or an electric stove. Start to clean your corn and beans well, put them in a container, then wash the corn and beans. After washing, find a clean pan , put your corn in the pan and then turn on your stove. Put water in a pot with corn Then put your pot on the fire ready to start cooking. Let your corn continue to cook for several hours. When the corn is almost ready, add the beans. Then wait again for several hours. When the beans are cooked, add salt and cooking oil and then start stirring the mixture of corn and beans until well mixed. after making sure you stir the mixture and mix well, take out your irombwe and put it on a clean plate ready to eat. Do you see a difference?


Another difference between Chagga and Rombo is in their natural drink. It is Well known that the Chaga people have their own alcohol called Mbege . But Rombos people are completely different, Rombos people they have their own drink which is called busa . Making busa and mbege is completely different and deeply in ingredients that Made. Chaggas they don't know and even see Busa Drink. Do you see the difference?

During the past,The Rombos people were drink busa while performing various rituals , as it is a specific drink that is prepared to be used during the rituals . Rituals of the Rombos takes place at any time of the year. it also takes place with the aim of asking God to help them in various matters. the ritual takes place in a special tree , prepared for the rituals. these trees are grown in every household in order to take care of the environment and livestock food.

During the past, Rituals of Seri and Chaggas people were completely different until now it not changed. it is well known that rituals of Chaggas done at the End of the Year,But Rituals of Seri people is different. rituals of Seri people done at anytime of the Year. Seri people rituals takes place with the aim of commanding ancestors in Various matters.this rituals is most important so they can't wait the End Year as Chaggas people do. Now you see the different between Chaggas and Seri people.

NOW SEE HOW SERI PEOPLE SPREAD

 The Seri people spread throughout the Kilimanjaro region , although they are very few in number, but they recognize each other by understanding each other in conversation. Seri can't speak Chagga language. It should be noted that the Seri are not Chagga, because the dialect varry. Theirs dialect is completely different from the dialect of the Wachaga tribe, which is the largest tribe in the Kilimanjaro region. The Kichaga dialect is well written in the book " A course in the Vunjo dialect of the Kichagga language of Kilimanjaro Tanzania" written by Bernard Leeman . This dialect is completely the same of that spoken by Chaggas of marangu , marangumamba , kibosho , siha , uru , machame,Mkuu, Mashalti,Olele and meru . Which is very different from a dialect of the Kiseri language of the Seri tribe.
